Fresh from filling the Frequency on May 18th as he interviewed Mayor Dave and Barry Levenson, Dan Potacke is getting ready for his next show on June 1st at 6:00 pm.

This time, Potacke welcomes local author and talk show host Stu Levitan. Levitan hosts Books and Beats on Sunday mornings on the Mic 92.1 where he has interviewed guests ranging from Vice President Joe Biden to Joan Baez. He also hosts Access: City Hall on City Channel 12 and has written the premiere book on Madison's history: Madison Volume 1 and is currently working on Volume 2.

Also coming to the stage will be Billy Buffalo and Dudu Stinks from Stink Tank coming off of last year's album Books on Tape, one of the most original albums to come out of Madison in a long time. Sadly, Jimmy French Fries will be unable to attend.

Finally, comedian David Fisher will be there, just to make sure that this random guest list has no cohesion whatsoever.

Hey everybody! Dan Potacke here! So we got the Mayor show coming up this Monday, May 18th @ 6p.m. with Madison Mayor Dave Ceizelwitzen, Mustard Museum Curator Barry Levenson, comedian Sean Moore and amazing live music!

But in the run up to that show, I've been doing some press stuff. For instance, I did an interview with Katjusa Cisar of 77 Square! You can read it online right now and it will also be in the 77 Square section of the Sunday Wisconsin State Journal tomorrow. So you should buy a Sunday paper tomorrow, preferably the Wisconsin State Journal!

That's right, Dan Potacke is interviewing the Mayor of the City of Madison live on stage.

Prominent local talk show host Dan Potacke has tried to make his show, The Dan Potacke Show, a tribute to everything he loves about Madison. That’s why it is his great honor to announce that Madison’s most prominent civic leader, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, will appear live on The Dan Potacke Show on May 18th.

Joining Potacke and the mayor on stage will be the Curator of the Mustard Museum, Barry Levenson, to help us get in the mood for Brat Fest. That's right, Barry "Poupon U" Levenson on the same night as the Mayor.

That night’s show will also feature the talents of comedian Sean Moore, special surprise guests, and live music by... well, we aren't sure yet... but there will be live music.

The show starts at 6 pm at the Frequency at 121 W. Main, the show is free to attend but it is a 21+ show. Doors open at 6 p.m. but seating fills up quick at the Frequency so get there early.

When asked for comment, Potacke said, “Oh, wow, I didn’t think that either Mayor Dave or Barry Levenson would actually come on this show. This is too much pressure.” Potacke then began to sob uncontrollably. Um… please leave that bit about Potacke when you tell your friends to come to this show.

On May 4th, local talk show host Dan Potacke hosts a special "Roller derby and chickens" edition of the Dan Potacke Show!

Potacke welcomes Potacke will interview Major Kusaknocky and Tammy Faye Undertaker from Mad Rollin’ Dolls as well as the directors of the documentary Mad City Chickens, Tashai Lovington and Robert Lughai. There will also be laughs galore provided by Comedian Adam Waldron.

This show also starts at 6pm at the Frequency and, as always, has ABSOLUTELY NO COVER and is 21+. With $2 rail drinks all night long!

You should come, it's going to be fun.

It's a wild birthday party for talk show host Dan Potacke as he celebrates the anniversary of his birth with a bunch of great guests. Shane O'Neill of Screamin' Cyn Cyn and the Pons shows up and talks about life on the road, bad clothes, and musical theatre. Plus, Dan Potacke's Mom comes onto the stage to wish her son a happy birthday... and explain why she gave him up for adoption. Dan Potacke also gets some great advice from "dating expert" JoAnne Poniatowski and "amateur historian" Aaron Quinn. Comedian Alan Talaga is moderately funny. And as a bonus, you'll get to see some ads from Dan Potacke's very first business from the late 1980's: Danny Potacke Lemonade!
